PREZENTARE CARTE
Broadly speaking, fictional characters are the result of imagination taking form after passing through the filter of personal experience. Therefore, they are a reflection of their creators, not the least when it comes to how their minds operate and how they behave in the fictional societies they are placed in. At the same time, in the real world, people
have been psycho-sociologically classified according to the cultures they are a part of and if the minds of fictional characters are virtually indistinguishable from those of real
people, then it is more than reasonable to apply the same classification to the former. However, behavioural patterns are never fixed in their consistency, which implies that there are always going to be outliers, even at the level of narratives. Hence, this book aims to present numerous characters – of various ages, backgrounds and personalities – as they psychologically develop in their respective stories while emphasising the aforementioned consistencies with sociological findings, as well as any inconsistency that could be identified.
