Moraru Roxana Silvia’s book entitled “The Ishigurian Sanctuary in the Three-Dimensional Narrative, Artistic and Sensory Universe” enhances the possibility and the
necessity of (re)reading and (re)interpreting Ishiguro’s novels from an interdisciplinary perspective, which functions as the main stimulus of her interpretative enterprise. The innovating critical approach involves the deconstruction of the text and the extension of the semantic network, the two concepts interrelating and reciprocally intensifying each other through methodological and essential epistemological bridges.
The book consists of five chapters, providing an extremely well elaborated examination of narrative fiction that has always been a significant field of inquiry in the
realm of postmodern literary criticism for decades. It aims at demonstrating the interdisciplinary character of Kazuo Ishiguro's most salient literary works, proposing a comprehensive analysis of his novels through the lenses of geocriticism, narratology, psychology, philosophy, anthroposophy, theology, and neuroscience.
