PREZENTARE CARTE
Centred around topical challenges and pragmatic approaches, A Diachronic Overview of the Competences Required in the Translation Industry. A Case Study of Today’s Romanian Translation Market examines the components making up the modern superordinate concept of translation competence, as well as its development throughout the centuries. The practical dimension of the analysis has been performed according to the priorities determined by the academic and professional environments, through which translators oftentimes transit, in the several stages defining their career (the provision of specialist training and entrance into the labour market).
“This book is a useful contribution to the field of Translation Studies given its in-depth theoretical framework and practical use – a diagnostic model assessing the effectiveness of study programmes which train future professional translators.”
Prof. Loredana Pungă,
